The staff of Destination Paris-Saclay tested Escape Time, the escape game at Villebon-sur-Yvette, with our colleagues from UTAC.
An experience lived by Ella
“I strongly recommend you try Escape Time with a group of friends or colleagues. The experience brings you together and helps build links.”
We arrive at 11.30 am and are greeted warmly by Lauriane and Coline. We instantly feel at ease. They serve us a drink and then introduce us to Escape Time, the history, the principle behind it, and the different escape rooms.
The big moment finally arrives. For our game we’ve chosen the room named Manoir des Soeurs Aubépine (Manor of the Hawthorn Sisters).
Lauriane explains the story and the aim of the game. From then on, we’re already into the atmosphère of the escape game and can’t wait to enter the room.
5,4,3,2,1 … The signal is given for us to enter the room. We’re amazed by the decor which plunges us instantly into the game. A 1-hour adventure has just begun.
During the first few minutes we’re torn between the exhilaration of finding clues and impatience at not finding the solution to move on to the next stage. We lose all notion of time. We discuss and help one another to progress in the adventure.
The game master talks to us through a microphone to help us make progress. I can’t reveal too much without spoiling the experience for you. What I can say is that we accomplished our mission just a few seconds before our time was up. Thanks to the atmosphere generated by the decor, and the excellent contribution of the Escape Time staff, the game is totally immersive.
